Google Play edition

Free Results Preview does not require a FormSignal website login. It shows completed races only and does not expire. Live and upcoming Pro features require a subscription purchased through Google Play Billing; there is no seven-day Play trial and no external website checkout for Play access.

Google processes the payment and does not give FormSignal your complete card number. To activate and maintain Pro access, the app sends the Google Play purchase token and an installation identifier to FormSignal. An optional device name may also be sent. FormSignal verifies the purchase directly with Google Play and maintains a pseudonymous entitlement record containing the product, base plan or offer, subscription and acknowledgement state, order reference when Google supplies one, access-expiry time and last-verification time. Purchase tokens are protected with encryption and one-way hashes in FormSignal's records.

Push notifications

Notifications are optional and require device permission. If you enable them, Firebase Cloud Messaging issues a push token. The app may send that token, the device platform, app version and build number, and notification-topic choices to FormSignal so notifications can be addressed and supported. Firebase may also process an app-instance or installation identifier, device and operating-system information, and delivery or interaction diagnostics under Google's privacy terms. You can turn notifications off in the app or Android settings.

Direct edition

The separate Direct edition is distributed from this website. Its access, subscription, protected-download and device-security systems use the contact, subscription and security information described below. Direct-edition purchases are handled by Stripe and are not purchases through Google Play.

Request deletion of your FormSignal data

You can request removal of your FormSignal device and alert-registration data without reinstalling the app. Requests are handled by the FormSignal support team.

1. Email contact@formsignalracing.com with the subject FormSignal data deletion request.
2. Tell us that you want your FormSignal device and alert-registration data removed. Include your Google Play order reference if available so we can verify the associated account. Do not send passwords, verification codes, payment-card details or your purchase token.
3. We will confirm the information needed to verify the request, explain any records that must be retained, and handle the removal once the request is verified.

Removal covers the associated device registrations, alert-delivery tokens and notification preferences, and revokes the affected device access sessions. Transaction, subscription and security records may be retained while the subscription is active or where needed for security or legal obligations. We will explain the applicable retention when your request is verified.

Deleting FormSignal data does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel that subscription separately in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

Information we collect

• Contact details, including name and email, when you enquire, apply for access, join a beta programme or subscribe through the Direct edition.
• For Google Play Pro: a purchase token, protected token identifiers, Google Play product and plan details, subscription status, order reference where supplied, access dates, verification dates, and an installation identifier and optional device name used to secure access.
• When Play notifications are enabled: the Firebase push token, device platform, app version and build number, and notification-topic choices used to deliver and support alerts.
• For Direct-edition customers: subscription identifiers, plan, status and renewal information received from Stripe. FormSignal does not receive your complete card number.
• For Direct-edition customers: protected device and identity hashes, device name, activation dates and token records used to secure access and enforce applicable access or device limits.
• Messages you submit and limited technical and security records needed to operate and protect the service.
• Beta application details, Android phone model, testing commitment and product feedback supplied by testers.
• Aggregate website usage information, such as page views, referring sites, broad location, device type and performance measurements collected through Cloudflare Web Analytics. This measurement does not use advertising cookies to track visitors across other websites.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

• Contract: to verify and administer Google Play Pro or Direct-edition access, provide requested features and support customers.
• Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent unauthorised access, diagnose faults, deliver requested operational notifications, understand aggregate website use, assess campaign performance, respond to enquiries and improve reliability.
• Legal obligation: to retain transaction or accounting information where the law requires it.
• Consent: for optional direct marketing or non-essential cookies, if introduced. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing at any time.

Enabling app notifications is optional and can be reversed through the app or Android settings. FormSignal does not add you to a marketing list merely because you install the app, enable notifications or make a purchase.

Who receives information

We use service providers only where necessary. Google Play processes Play-edition purchases, and Google Firebase supports push-notification delivery. Stripe processes Direct-edition checkout and billing. Cloudflare provides website hosting, database storage and security, and an email-delivery provider supports service and support messages. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where legally necessary. Personal information is not sold.

International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or recognised contractual safeguards. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguard relevant to your data.

How long we keep it

We keep information only while it is needed for the purpose described, to meet legal duties, resolve disputes and protect the service. Google Play and Direct-edition transaction and entitlement records may be retained for the applicable subscription, accounting and legal periods. Notification tokens and related operational fields are kept only while needed to provide or support notifications and are removed or made inactive through routine maintenance. Enquiries are periodically reviewed and deleted when no longer needed. Expired access tokens are no longer accepted and are removed or anonymised through routine maintenance.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity, and some information may need to be retained for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

If we cannot resolve a concern, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children's information and changes

We do not knowingly seek children's personal information. Material changes to this notice will be published here with a revised date.
